Trade-In Gear Details
What To Bring
- A charged battery and charger (cameras without a battery and charger will receive a lower offer)
- Your state-issued driver's license or state-issued photo ID (we can’t pay you without it!)
We buy cameras and lenses in clean, working condition due to the high cost of repairs. We will be happy to responsibly recycle any cameras or accessories that are not in good working order.

Option 1: Sell Your Gear
Milford Photo appraisers will provide an instant quote for the value of your gear.
Payments will be made by check.
Option 2: Trade Up to a New Camera or Lens
If you choose to use your entire trade-in amount to purchase a new camera or lens at Milford Photo, we will add an additional 10% Trade-Up Bonus to the value of your gear.
A Trade-Up Voucher will be issued.

Online Purchases: Speak to one of our sales associates (203-882-3415) so we can apply your Trade-Up Voucher to your online purchase. We will ship your order to you at no extra charge.

- Video cameras that use film or tape formats

- Lighting or Studio equipment that requires a powerpack or hot lights
- Darkroom equipment
- Gimbals
- Tripods or Stands
- Camera bags / cases
Know Before You Go:
- Ensure batteries (rechargeable or single-use) are fully charged - we will NOT be able to test your gear without it.
- Do not bring items with battery corrosion.
- Check that your items do not have mold/fungus in or on them.

‣‣‣ If you elect to use your trade in toward the purchase of a new camera or lens, we will add 10% to the value of your traded-in gear and issue a voucher for the total gear value + Trade Up Bonus to be used toward your purchase of a new camera or lens at Milford Photo. Example: If your trade-in gear value is $100 and you choose to Trade Up, Milford Photo will add a $10 Trade Up Bonus and provide you with a $110 voucher ($100+$10) toward your purchase of a new camera or lens.
