  • No Longer at Home works to define the shift or change when leaving an environment that has become comfortable, familiar, even stagnant. Home can be defined as a physical space, a person, a moment, etc. The definition of this title does not have to be literal. How have you viewed this change?

    ABOUT THE JUROR

Jess Amrich is a photographer, traveling full-time in her self-converted van, Penny. She has always been passionate about living a creative life and one close to nature. She began her career shooting, developing and printing her own film in the darkroom. When her resources became limited, she transitioned into the digital world while still experimenting with film. After a few big life changes in 2020, Jess embarked on a spiritual journey. She felt reborn and inevitably, the rebirth of her work followed. In the midst of her awakening, she took off on a solo adventure to rediscover herself through the art of photography. Her previous work was heavily focused on perfect moments but life is so much more than that. Her current work is a more honest representation of her journey while still celebrating the beauty of nature. It is now her visual diary of life on the road and every mundane moment in between the ones that feel like a dream.
